Meet Cary Sellers (she/her/hers)

What is your official role at B’nai Shalom?

3/4 B Teacher.

Where did you go to college/what degrees/accreditations do you hold/experience do you have?

I studied Developmental Psychology as an undergrad and went on to earn Master’s degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Organizational Psychology. My background has given me a strong foundation for understanding how children learn and grow!

What are you most excited about for the 2025-2026 School year?

I’m truly delighted to be working full-time in the classroom this year and can’t wait to spend my days learning and growing alongside my students!

Favorite food?

That’s easy—chicken tikka masala. It’s my absolute favorite comfort food.

What is your favorite way to spend time with your family?

One of our favorite traditions is making homemade pizza together at our summer cottage. We use the pizza oven we built during Covid, and it’s always such a fun (and delicious!) way to spend time together.

Favorite color?

Mossy green—it feels calming and connected to nature.

What’s the best treat?

For me, the best treat is a slow, cozy morning: waking up to read for a little bit, drifting back to sleep, waking up again to read some more…and hopefully being surprised by a cup of coffee delivered by my husband!
