What is your official role at B'nai Shalom Day School?

Infant room and 3/4 ASE teacher.

Where is your hometown?

Boone, North Carolina.

What is your favorite thing about your role?

All the many little moments of magic.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love creating and crafting. I’m especially drawn to upcycling, like transforming old chandeliers into unique garden art or whimsical mobiles. There’s something so rewarding about giving forgotten pieces a whole new life!

If you could take your class on a dream field trip, where would you go?

If I could take my class on a dream field trip, I would take them to an aquarium with a clear tunnel running underneath a massive pool, where they could watch fish and sharks swim right overhead. It would be such a magical, immersive experience for them!

Almond Joys & things that sparkle!

Favorite food?

Tikka masala, carne asada, sushi, my Omi’s meatloaf, and anyones mashed potatoes!

Favorite flower?

Honeysuckle and Freesia!

Favorite color?

All of the shades of green but especially the shade of olive green.

What is something you have always wanted to learn?

Sign language

What is your favorite way to spend time with your family?

I love spending quality time with my family, whether it’s working on puzzles, checking things off everyone’s home to-do lists, getting creative with crafts (of course!), or savoring a slow, cozy coffee hour on the weekends. ☕️
