What is your official role at B'nai Shalom Day School?

Preschool 2/3 Teacher

What is your favorite thing about your role?

Getting to know the kids and their unique personalities, strengths, and what makes them laugh!

Do you have any pets? If so, how many?

I have a pet rabbit, Bandito.

Do you have a current passion project?

I'm working on getting my Etsy store up and running! I design and sew children's clothing and toys, women's accessories, and quilts.

What is something you have always wanted to learn?

I would like to learn to speak Portuguese. My husband's grandmother doesn't speak English and I would love to get to sit down and talk to her about her life.

What your favorite way to spend time with your family?

My husband and I go to the beach every year and this year we took our daughter for the first time. We love to swim, ride bikes, and build sandcastles together.

What do you look forward to every day?

Doing the New York Times Crossword! I usually get through Thursday without cheating.

If your younger self could meet you as an adult, what would they be most impressed by?

I would hope she'd be proud that I haven't let hard times turn me into a hard person... And she'd be impressed that I finally mastered putting on eyeliner and folding fitted sheets.

What is one of your “bucket list” items?

I want to visit every continent- I have two left!
