Saving the Planet One Cloth Napkin At a Time
Do you send a napkin with your child to school each day? Probably not (we are all guilty - even the staff!) And those that do, is it paper or reusable?
Ms. Neff's 1st grade class has set out to solve the problem of using paper napkins. The students are using their time in the Fab Lab to hand-make 220 reusable cloth napkins for the lower & upper school students. Each week, the students will be responsible for washing and distributing the napkins to their classmates.
From water conservation to recycling, Ms. Neff's class is learning how everything we do impacts the earth. The class is on a year-long mission to make the world a better and cleaner place as part of their social justice theme. Next up, composting!
