Terracycling Comes to B'nai
Terracycling (TC) is a global leader in collecting and repurposing hard to recycle waste. The goal of TC is to eliminate the idea of waste by collecting typically non-recyclable items and turning them into new products. TC is in 20 countries and has become a recycling platform with global impact.
Third graders at B'nai are creating a video to explain how the TC program will be implemented at school. They have constructed special TC collection boxes that will be placed around school to collect items such as chip bags, Kuerig cups, juice pouches, and apple sauce pouches. Posters have also been made to show exactly what items can be collected at school or brought in from home.
We will be working with Subaru of Greensboro as our drop-off and shipping point for our materials. The waste we send in will help the school earn TC points which can be redeemed for charitable donations to our school. We are doing our part to work toward zero waste!
