Meet Alexis Rose (she/her)

What is your official role at B'nai Shalom Day School?

I teach Pre-K 3/4.

What are you most excited about for the 2025-2026 School year?

This is my very first year at B’nai Shalom, and I’m so excited to meet my very first class! I can’t wait to learn and grow right alongside them!

Where did you go to college/what degrees/accreditations do you hold/experience do you have?

I studied Global and International Studies and Anthropology at the College of Wooster. Beyond that, I’ve spent the past 10 years teaching Sunday schools and working at camps, which has given me lots of hands-on experience with kids of all ages.

What’s a fun fact students might not know about you? 

I have played rugby for 4 years as a wing, center, and fly half.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! I have a 5-year-old Siamese cat named Koda. He started out as a family pet but made the big move with me to North Carolina this past August.

Favorite treat? (food and/or non-food)

Food-wise, my favorite treat is crème brûlée. Non-food-wise, it’s definitely a cozy lazy day in bed with my crochet projects.

Favorite Color?

My favorite color is dark green. I have around 20 plants so it’s the most common color in my apartment!
