What is your official role at B'nai Shalom Day School?

I serve as the 4th Grade General Studies Teacher, 3rd Grade Math Teacher, and Co-Coordinator of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, & Justice (DEIBJ) Committee.

How long have you been at B’nai Shalom Day School?

This is my 5th year at B’nai, and I love the variety my schedule brings. I spend time with our youngest students in the toddler and early childhood classes, providing teachers with their planning breaks. After school, I enjoy leading enrichment time with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

What is your favorite thing about your role?

The best part of my job is getting to know so many of the students across different grades—it’s truly a joy to watch them grow and learn.

Where did you go to college/what degrees/accreditations do you hold/experience do you have?

I achieved my teaching degree in England, and during my college days played tenor horn in a competition brass band that toured the nation.

What’s a fun fact students might not know about you?

I’ve been happily married here in the United States for over 30 years.

Favorite treat (food and/or non-food)

A perfect treat for me is either a camping weekend with my husband or sharing a meal with friends at one of our favorite local grills.
