What is your official role at B'nai Shalom Day School?

First Grade General Studies Teacher and K-8 Art Teacher

What is your favorite thing about your role?

My favorite thing about teaching is when my students are so engaged in their activity that they feel like time is "flying by". When I hear, " time is up already" or " it can't be time to go home yet!" it fills my heart. I have provided a safe, loving, educational environment that has allowed for deep enjoyment and learning.

Do you have any pets? If so, how many?

Yes! A five year old Great Pyrenees named Cash and two sweet 4 year old boy cats named Dov and Ash.

Do you have a current passion project?

I love painting, drawing, making pottery and gardening.

What made you choose to work at B’nai Shalom Day School?

I choose to work at B'nai Shalom because the students needs are always put first and the staff is treated with respect. The staff works together to ensure each student is given what they need to be successful. Our teaching time is valued and we are given resources needed to teach our subjects fully. I didn't realize when I started working at B'nai Shalom that being able to fully express my Jewish identity would been life changing. I have never been in an work environment where it feels like family.

What your favorite way to spend time with your family?

I love hanging out at home, going to the beach and camping!
